from the hip.
here is a little photo story shot from my hip at the farmers market on wednesday in santa monica. we are truly in a food transition time... stone fruit has a few more weeks, tomatoes are abundant, asian pears are coming to the forefront, so many varieties of apples, incredibly crisp and good.... grapes are starting to show their sweet selves & squashes are beginning to round us out.... i wanted to share a little moment of the season to inspire you to get to your farmers market & see what is happening in your neck of the woods... as we come into october, there will be more roasting & soup creating to share... see you in the kitchenxxx
welcome beauties! you can run quick, grab something you need or stay awhile and get cozy. i love inspiring and nourishing everyone with the beauty inside everything. here you will find my words, recipes, images, all sewn together with some cashmere thread... this is a movement where beauty is an essential ingredient, it is a deep need to nourishing, healing & learning how to live inside surviving. it's one way to turn on the firexxxx
kitchen healer.
gatherings, miracles, one on one sessions, consultations and more herexxxx
i am starving for this conversation to begin....i want to ask questions, write lists, hear your stories... i want to understand, get underneath, turn it over & see the other side of this place where we are connecting to our kitchens...this daily piece of feeding other, our kin, ourselves.. it's deep inside. how we were fed and what surrounds that for each of us... and now we are the mamas, we are the wives, we are the women creating the meals... we are nurturing, providing, gathering, hunting, feeding, creating, birthing, businessing, parenting, saving the planet and on & on....we are the renaissance mamas...yearning for the basics in a world that is desperate for the ground... the warm, thick soil, roots to something deep...traditional, memories, recipes, stories told in the kitchen... we are the change...
